Who's behind it
Four friends, zero corporate
Huvee is built by four of us: three write the code, one makes sure it all makes sense. We're a group of friends who know first-hand how hard it gets to find people to play football, ride bikes or go to a gig with after a move or a new job.
We're not building another app to scroll. We want you out of Huvee and meeting people for real as fast as possible.
Is this a dating app?
No. Huvee is for making friends. Matching runs on shared interests, not on photos and swiping in the dark.
How does matching work?
Every profile is scored against your interest list: the more you share, the higher it ranks. Add filters for age, distance, gender and specific interests. You see the number of things you share right on the card.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Profile, browsing, matches and chat are all free.
Is it just for young people?
No. Huvee is for any adult, whatever your age and whether you live in a city or a village. The age and distance filters let you choose who you'd like to meet, and how far away.
When do you launch?
We're getting ready to launch on iOS and Android. Leave your email and we'll write once: on launch day, with the link.
My interest is missing. Now what?
Suggest it in Settings. We count the suggestions and add what you ask for most.
What about safety?
You can report any profile from inside the app. Reports go to moderation, and accounts that break the rules get blocked. If you want out, deactivating starts a permanent deletion, not just hiding your profile.
Will anyone see where I live?
No. We use your approximate location only to sort people by distance. Others only ever see a rounded distance.
